Pay Attention...

Ever since I was a kid I had always been interested in the small and meticulous details when it came to things, my mom always told me to pay attention to the smallest of things and to try to give everything my all, this has led to me...

Things that I have picked up over the years

Summer 2021

Architecture

Over the Summer of 2021, I enrolled in an intense architecture course because of my love for architecture, a mixture of playing with Legos and learning structural integrity as well as the lessons of paying attention to small details my mom taught me led to me brining this passion of mine to life.

Fall 2018 - Present

Swimming

Swimming started as a way for me to get fit when I was younger, it helped me with my asthma and allowed me to be physically fit enough to partake in other sports my friends were playing, eventually, swimming grew into something far larger than that. I joined a swimming team and began to swim competitively at Eaglebrook, becoming captain of my 9th grade year.

Fall 2019 - Present

Cello

Although with a rough start, I had played the cello from the Fall of 2019, when my friend's mom, whom I call Auntie Heidi, asked me a question on whether I would like to play an instrument in a car ride with my friend. I responded with a curiosity for the cello, this question from her changed the path of my life as it has brought me opportunities and taught me the importance of practice and consistency.

EDUCATION

My Journey So Far

2013 - 2020

Yew Chung International School Hong Kong

I moved from an international kindergarten in Guangzhou, mainland China to Yew Chung International School in Hong Kong at the age of 7 for Year 1 of Primary school. This is where I was able to explore a different hobbies and interests, as well as establish a strong foundation for English and other academic subjects. This is also around the time that I started swimming with a coach that taught me all four strokes.

2020 - 2022

Eaglebrook School

After finishing Year 7 (Grade 6) at Yew Chung, I decided to continue my studies at Eaglebrook School, after attending two summer schools there. Accidentally (although it worked out) we filled in the wrong grade when applying, leading me to skip a grade and join in the 8th grade. Eaglebrook allowed me to develop confidence as well as maturity, leading me next door to Deerfield Academy.
